Transportation From Airport
to Hotel
Via Bus.
The cheapest way from airport to hotel is via public bus.
- Take bus route "424 AIRPORT STN" from Vancouver
International Airport Level 1 to Airport Station.
- Then get on bus route "98 BURRARD STN B-LINE" from
Airport Station to Northbound Seymour St at W Georgia St.
- Finally take a Westbound bus route (e.g., 240, 247,
250, 253, ...)
from Westbound W Georgia St at Seymour St (or Grandville St) to
Westbound W Georgia St at Cardero St.
- (Or ask Google
Map for a Public Transit proposal.)
The
total trip takes about 40 min. The bus runs frequently (about every
8
minutes during peak hours). The fare is 3.75 CAD from start of
service to 18:30 weekdays, or 2.50 CAD after 18:30 and on weekends.
Drivers take exact
Canadian fare only; bills are accepted, but change is not
given. And
there is nowhere to get change once you have left the arrivals
terminal, so get change first! Keep your transfer ticket, as it is good
for 90 minutes of
travel on any public transit, from time of purchase.
Via
Airporter/Taxi. If you don't mind spending the extra
money, more convenient is the YVR
Airporter (Schedule)
(1-800-668-3141)
which costs 13 CAD one way or 20 CAD return, and drops off at major
hotels
downtown. The airporter service runs only 8:00-22:00.
The public transit option described above runs later than the
airporter.
A taxi ride downtown will cost about 25-30 CAD. All taxis that serve
the
airport are required to accept credit cards. The taxi ride is usually
under
30 min. [WikiTravel]
Via Car.
Consult Google
Maps.
Via Hotel
Shuttle.
The Westin Bayshore Hotel does not provide shuttle service between the
airport and the hotel. The hotel shuttle bus only does a loop from the
hotel to Robson Street and ends at Pacific Center. It is a
shopping shuttle.
